Step ashore and experience the Galápagos up close as you move between islands by speedboat, spending your nights in comfortable local lodges and charming coastal villages. Encounter giant tortoises in their natural highland habitats, snorkel with sea lions and marine iguanas, and walk alongside blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds on pristine volcanic trails.
This land-based adventure is designed for nature lovers and wildlife photographers seeking deeper connection—with both the islands and their communities. We will offer expert naturalist guides, small group sizes, and carefully curated experiences.
Flight to Santa Cruz Island and transfer to hotel in Puerto Aroya on the Island's southern shore, home to the world-famous Charles Darwin Station .
Boattransfer to North Seymour to experience the courtship rituals of Magnificent Figatebirds . Other seabirds here inclue Swallow-tailed Gull, Lava Gull and Red-billed Tropicbird. Marine iguanas and sea lions are common on the shore. Afterwards to Las Bachas Beach - most important nesting sites for the Galapagos Island's sea turtles.
Bartolome Island offers the emblematic sceneries of Islands where you can learn about the volcanic origins of the Islands. Explore the coastline for the unique Galapagos penguins. To Santiago Island to explore Sullivan Bay beach to experience the special pahoehoe lava flows. Blue-footed Boobies and Galapagos Shearwater are common.
Visit the stunning Tortuga Bay, with white sand and vibrant turquoise waters. En route keep an eye out for the Galapagos Flycatcher, Galapagos Dove, and several species of Darwin’s finches. Once at the beach, take time to enjoy the marine iguanas, go for a swim, or paddle by kayak for a look at stingrays and graceful sea turtles
Transfer to Isabel Island. Stay in a beachfront hotel in Puerto Villamil and explore the island by bike (rental ~$10). Visit the historic Wall of Tears, spot giant tortoises, marine iguanas, and sea lions along the way, and enjoy stunning views from the lookout. End the ride at Flamingo Lagoon to see American Flamingos and other birdlife
Just a short boat ride from Isabela, Las Tintoreras offers a mix of dramatic lava landscapes and rich wildlife. Spot sea lions and Galapagos Penguins en route, then walk among marine iguanas and search for birds like Lava Gulls, Elliot’s Storm-Petrel, Galapagos Shearwater, and Blue-footed and Nazca Boobies.
Today you'll explore the stunning lava tunnels of Los Túneles at Cabo Rosa—a surreal landscape of collapsed lava bridges and arches above and below the sea. Snorkel in clear, shallow waters teeming with marine life like sea turtles, reef sharks, penguins, rays, seahorses, and colorful fish. Snorkeling gear is included
Flight back to Quito for last night; the next day (day 9) transfer to airport.
