The main objective of Aratinga Tours and its employees is to offer a high standard service to its clients offering personal attention to your specific needs and interests. However, we always depend on local regulations and laws which may apply to our itineraries and services.

Aratinga Tours bookings policy

Before the booking process we will guide and help you in designing an itinerary that matches their needs and interests as much as possible. After agreement of the client with the offered itinerary indicating clearly what is and what is not included we will start the booking process. Upon booking you enter in a formal agreement with PWG Aratinga Tours SA with formal address: Barrio La Castillo casa 95, Paraíso de Cartago, Costa Rica. Registered under the 3-101-385211 business register number in the Registro Nacional de Costa Rica.

We will ask for a 5 % non refundable deposit upon booking and ask for of the outstanding balance 60 days before arrival. If a booking is requested with less than 60 days prior to the start of the itinerary a full payment will be requested.

Itinerary and price changes

Each itinerary will be costed based on the current information and conditions that are in effect. If certain conditions beyond our control change and in order to guarantee your safety and / or comfort it is needed to make adjustments in the itinerary and corresponding price we will do so. When these changes need to be made we will notify you as soon as possible giving a reasonable and detailed justification.

When our clients are carrying out the itinerary booked by Aratinga Tours and changes need to be made to the itinerary because of conditions beyond our control (pandemic, war, extreme weather conditions) in order to guarantee your safety Aratinga Tours cannot be held responsible for changes in the booked itinerary and extra cost might need to be paid by the clients.

Pre-departure preparation

A detailed information package including the details of all the logistics, practical information and background information of the different locations in your itinerary will be send 2 months before arrival. Aratinga Tours will always be willing to help to clear doubts after the information package has been sent.

Cancelation policy

You may cancel your booking at any stage, provided you do so in writing. The first deposit paid upon booking will not be reimbursed due to administration costs incurred.

  • For cancelations up to 50 days before the start of the agreed itinerary 100 % will be reimbursed, minus the first deposit.
  • For cancelations 49 to 20 days before the start of the agreed itinerary 75 % will be reimbursed.
  • For cancelations 19 to 10 days before the start of the agreed itinerary 50 % will be reimbursed.
  • For cancelations 9 to 5 days before the start of the agreed itinerary 20 % will be reimbursed.
  • For cancelations less than 5 days before the start of the agreed itinerary nothing will be reimbursed.
  • Cancellation of part of the itinerary made when unfolding the itinerary will net be reimbursed.
